Mr. LaMay called the meeting to order at 8:09 p.m.
Mr. LaMay led the pledge.

Votes: General Government: 286 YES (including absentee ballots)

Board of Education: 262 YES

- SET MIL RATE/FURTHER DISCUSSION/ACTION ON FY 16-17 BUDGET
Mr. Fish passed out the Mill Rate Calculation for the year ending June 30, 2017, as follows:
Grand List: $2,206,900,000
Tax Collection Rate 0.99
Other Revenues 2,168,356
Fund Balance Appropriation 285,000
Total Revenue (Budget) 44,532,446
Mill Rate = 1000 x (Total Revenue-Other Revenue-Fund Balance Appropriation) / (Grand List x Tax Collection Rate) = 19.2597 = 19.26.
Difference = 0.45 Present Mill Rate = 18.81
A motion to set the Mill Rate at 19.26 was made by Mr. Thorpe, seconded by Mr. O’Brien. Motion passed 6-0-0.
Tax Collector, Mr. Maynard received a signed letter of communication from Chairman LaMay stating the mill rate, grand list October 1, 2015, of 19.26 mills.
VI. BOS RECOMMENDATION FOR APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS TO TOWN
MEETING FOR REBUILD OF TOWN BEACH PAVILION CONTINGENT
UPON LAW ENFORCEMENT COMMITTEE APPROVAL.
Mr. Fortuna noted that 6 bids were reviewed and narrowed down to 2 contractors. The bid is $26K. Work would start after Labor Day.
A motion by Mr. Thorpe, seconded by Mr. O’Brien to move to town meeting, a recommendation by the BOS for an appropriation of $26K for rebuild of Town Beach Pavilion contingent upon law enforcement committee approval was so VOTED unanimously.
